What's included in the package

Everything you need to get on the water:

  • Premium inflatable paddleboard of your choice
  • High quality adjustable SUP paddle
  • High pressure, High volume SUP pump
  • Fins
  • Coiled leash

And all packaged up in a well designed wheeled rucksack, which is super comfortable to either carry or to pull.

How does your rental system work?

We use a state of the art live online booking system to make booking with us simple, safe and secure.

What are your SUP hire delivery charges

Delivery charges are already included in the rental price.  Therefore the price you see is the price you pay.

Can I take a SUP hire board overseas?

Of course you can. Whilst the package is in your possession you can take it where you want.  If you contact us directly, you may even be able to take advantage of our relationship with international couriers to have the board delivered directly to your holiday location.

I've never paddleboarded before

Although our boards are stable and ideal for beginners, we expect you to have a certain level of experience before you can rent our SUP packages.   We want you to be safe and don't want you to get into trouble on one of our boards.  We don't ask to see certification or evidence of your experience, but we do ask that you self certify that you have been on a SUP before, and that you are competent in the environment that you intend to use the SUP in.

Will I get my SUP hire board on time?

Of course. We ship our boards to arrive two days before the start of the rental period.  Our experience with DPD is that they deliver 99.8% of their parcels next day, therefore you will definitely get your board in time!

Why are you so cheap?

Because we are associated with a SUP manufacturer, we get our kit at cost price.  And we don't slap a large margin on our rentals because we want to get as many people on a SUP as possible.

Drop off

We use DPD local to deliver the SUP package/s to your door.  DPD will contact you by text and email to give you a one hour time slot for delivery, and you can track your delivery driver through their website or mobile app.   DPD normally require a signature for delivery, but you can specify a safe place for the packages to be left through their smart online app, or change the delivery address in real time.


The package will either be collected from your door by DPD, or you can drop off at your local post office.  You will need to specify which option you wish when you make your booking.

Do you ship oversees and to P.O. boxes?

Yes, we’ll ship your package anywhere that can accept deliveries, but you'll need to contact us to get the best price.

Do you have customer service?

Of course! Our friendly and knowledgeable customer services reps are available on live chat to answer your questions between 7:00 and 22:00 7 days a week.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

If you pay by card, you do not need to pay a deposit.  If you wish to pay by direct bank transfer, we will need to take a valid credit card number, or take a cash deposit.

How heavy are the boards?

The whole package weighs less than 15kg, and the boards weigh between 9 and 11kg (depending on the size). With the exception of the Mega board, which weighs 35kg.  The boards are easy to carry short distances by an adult, and the wheeled backpack allows you to pull or carry them for longer distances.

Can I cancel my booking

You can cancel at any time up to 14 days in advance without any cancellation fee being charged. If you cancel within14 days of the start of your hire period, we charge a cancellation fee of £25.

What about additional charges?

Late fees

If you are late returning a package, we will charge a penalty fee of £25 per day, plus a £25 failed collection fee if our couriers come to collect and the kit isn't available.  This is still cheaper than more rental companies normal daily fee.  But we would really appreciate it if the kit was returned on time.


Minor scrapes and nicks can happen, and this is just part and parcel of wear and tear.  As long as you look after the kit, and follow the user guide, you will not be charged for minor damage.  But if you do cause major damage, then we will have to recover some of the cost.  You can protect yourself against this for a small additional fee per day.

Loss and theft

If the kit doesn't get returned, we will charge your credit card with the manufacturers cost price of the kit, subject the theft being reported to the police and a crime number being obtained.

If no valid crime number is given, we will charge your card the full retail value of the kit.

Loyalty points

We think this makes us unique.

Every £10 you spend gets you 1 McConks point.  Which is equivalent to £1 discount in the McConks webshop.

Can I buy the board?

If you would like to buy the board at the end of your rental period, just tell us. With our SUP as you go scheme, you can get a really good deal.  We will give you a fair second hand price for the board, depending on its use/condition, and deduct the cost of your historic rentals.   A bit like hire purchase for SUP!  Find out more here.    Or if you want to buy a board new, head over to www.mcconks.com.
